Seizer is a fictional character in the Wild Cards series of books.
History[]
Seizer was born the son of a maid at Sandringham who had fallen pregnant thanks to an extra-marital affair with Prince Philip. The boy had grown up in nearby Wolferton knowing little of his parentage however. The truth had been hidden with a local doctor, but his mother had received a regular stipend from the royal accounts which continued with him after his mother's death. Evidence suggested that he might have actually been the true heir to the throne, which only served to mold his terrorist inclinations towards a hunger for power. This was exploited by the newly arrived Irish wild card Badb, who used Seizer as a pawn in her plot to bring about chaos in England.
When investigations into Seizer's past revealed that he was in fact merely the illegitimate son of Prince Philip, and not Princess Elizabeth, he was livid. Bobbin, the true heir, appeared weak to him, and not as worthy as he to claim the throne, so he was only too easy for Badb to steer on a course for trying to assassinate the man in public during a march on Buckingham Palace. His plan was thwarted when the grenade he hurled was smothered by the Twisted Fists leader, Green Man, when he sacrificed himself to protect Bobbin. This sacrifice gave Badb everything she needed to regenerate and, fully empowered beyond anything she had experienced before, she hurled Seizer effortlessly at her attackers and into a block wall.
Wild Card Traits[]
Seizer's skin is covered in boils that periodically break away to leave foul-smelling deposits in his wake. He also has a lethal ace in that he can push his hands through living flesh.
Appearance[]
Seizer is an elderly man covered in large boils. A ring of boils around his head forms a rough pattern that he refers to as a crown.
Personality[]
Seizer is a driven and angry man. Often combative, he is loathe to follow orders, and usually opts for aggression to guide his actions.
