Pesticide is a fictional character from the Wild Cards series of books.
Pesticide writes the society column for The Jokertown Cry.
History[]
Pesticide used her beauty to great advantage for the Jokertown Cry, easily gaining interviews with nats and jokers alike. She was visiting a sushi bar one night in the Edge, an area on the fringe of Jokertown, when she was unwittingly drawn into the gang war between the Mafia and Twisted Fists. Four members of the Werewolves gang burst into the establishment and accosted the patrons there. Taking umbrage at her treatment she rose from her seat and eviscerated one of the gang members with her insect swarm. Another gang member then turned his gun her and shot a bullet through her head.
Wild Card Traits[]
Pesticide can call forth a plague of flesh-eating insects from her mouth. The effect is preceded by her body lighting up in a brilliant golden glow, her skeleton visible in silhouette.
Appearance[]
A beautiful, scarlet-skinned joker with butterfly eyes and two large antennae protruding from her forehead.
