History[]
Born in Cuba to a Spanish immigrant and his mistress, Fidel Castro grew up being an excellent sportsman in a number of disciplines, particularly baseball. His sporting career took him to the United States where he played for the Washington Senators for two years before being traded to the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played as a pitcher for the Dodgers for seventeen years before returning to Washington for the last two years of his active career. In 1969, one year after learning that he was wild card positive, he was reunited with the Dodgers as their pitching coach.
The wild card had very little impact on Castro and he remained a secret ace as he coached the Dodgers, until the day a young Digger Downs gained access to the team with a press pass. The boy was writing a story for his school paper and thought he had a scoop after smelling a wild carder in the team locker room, but was disappointed by the discovery that the Dodgers' pitching coach only had super-elastic arm tendons and no ability to influence the team's surprising winning streak.
Wild Card Traits[]
Castro gained increased flexibility in his tendons and ligaments from his elbow through his fingers in his pitching arm.
