Cyclone was a wild carder with the ace ability to manipulate the wind. He is the father of Mistral, who inherited her father's ace abilities.
History[]
Born to a San Franciscan family, Carlysle turned his wild card in 1965 when during a skydiving outing his parachute failed to open, and he was able to ease himself safely to the ground. Being a shameless self-promoter he quickly adopted the name Cyclone and used his new power to find fame and fortune.
Cyclone's early significant exploits included a tour in Vietnam with an independent Air Force commission that allowed him to operate as a free agent, fighting where he thought he could be useful. Nearly two decades later he made a notable contribution in the Swarm War, repelling the attack on Texas.
Cyclone was one of the aces recruited to fight in the war against the Rox. He was killed by Molly Bolt, a jumper who had taken over his daughter's body.
Wild Card Traits[]
Cyclone had the power of aerokinesis, the ability to manipulate the air. Like his daughter, he could create highly focused whirlwinds and wind shields. He could also use the air currents to fly with the assistance of his wind catching costume.
Appearance[]
At the time of his death Cyclone was a well muscled man in his fifties just under six feet tall. He had fair skin, hazel eyes, and receding light brown hair.
Cyclone wore a blue and white costume, with a blue parachute-like cape fastened to his wrists and ankles that caught the air currents and allowed him to fly.
Personality[]
Cyclone was egotistical and a shameless self-promoter. He maintained residences in a number of major cities, although preferred to base himself in the West Coast of the United States where there are fewer aces to share the glory.
Trivia[]
- Cyclone employs an armed camera crew.
