Brave Hawk is a minor character in the Wild Cards series of books.
History[]
Tom's wild card turned when he stopped a cat-like joker from trying to rob the bank he was at. Brave Hawk was on the first season of American Hero and was on Team Clubs. He was the third member of his team to be voted off. Shortly after the end of American Hero, Tom joined the Committee.
Wild Card Traits[]
Brave Hawk can fly using telekinetic self-propulsion. This flight is accompanied by a pair of illusionary black wings, which he can make appear or disappear on a whim. Brave Hawk can also telekinetically enhance the contractile strength of his muscles, considerably boosting his strength. SCARE has listed his ability as moderate superstrength.
A drawback to his flight and increased strength is that these abilities are mutually exclusive and cannot both be used at the same time.
Appearance[]
Tom is 5'8" with copper brown skin and black hair. He is full-blooded Apache. He often likes to wear cowboy duds along with a coral bead necklace with a stone hawk fetish.
Personality[]
Brave Hawk is American Indian and a firm advocate of American Indian rights causes and against colonial oppression everywhere. He has very little trust or regard for non-Indians.
